A friend of mine recently said to me: "You find some very interesting things to take pictures of -- things I've never seen before!" This is, to me, the essence of why I do what I do: to share my vision of the world with others, to show them everyday things new through the filter of my vision, and, with my passion for macro photography, to show them what is literally beneath their notice. When I use my camera to make an image, I strive to make my subject -- whether unusual or every-day -- remarkable.
Hi. My name's Eugene LaVoe, and I make photographs.
Currently, I use a Canon 10D. I haven't used film since I bought it, and the change is, to me, for the better. With a digital camera, and Photoshop for post-processing, I can deliver images which rival, if not surpass, the quality of 35mm film, and accomplish this rapidly and with a high degree of control.
